Can i save programs in system image?

im running vista 64 bit if i create a system image will that save my programs like microsoft student and stuff because i dont have the setup disc with there product keys any more. im going to do a system recovery but thats over a hundred dollars in software that i dont want to loose

Yes it will. A system image includes the drives required for Windows to run. It also includes Windows and your system settings, programs, and files.



Note: To create a system image of a drive, it must be formatted to use the NTFS file system. If you save the system image on a hard drive or USB flash drive, it must be formatted to use the NTFS file system.
